Zhou started his car design career at Pininfarina S.p.a in Turin, right after his graduation in Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), Torino in 2010. As an intern designer and a junior designer he became later on, he participated in numerous design programs including collaboration with Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, FAW, Temsa and Brilliance. His major contribution at Pininfarina was assisting to create the interior design theme and execution of the “Cambiano” Concept car debuted at the 82nd Geneva International Motor Show.
Zhou left Italy and returned to China by the end of 2011, he joined GM in early 2012. Zhou’s first assignment in GM China was designing the exterior of the Chevrolet EN-V 2.0, meanwhile, he also became the exterior principle designer of several production programs collaborating with SGMW. Zhou also participated in a couple of global design programs in both production and conceptual fields.
Education / Experience
Born and raised in Nanjing, China, passionate with cars and dreamt to work in the car industry since very young. Zhou went to University of Windsor, Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and majored in Automotive Engineering right after graduating from High School in China. After a year, he quite engineering and went to Italy to chase his car designer dream. Zhou Studied transportation design at Istituto Europeo di Design for 3 years and graduated in 2010.
