Timeline for competition

Terms and Conditions

I certify that any work I submit, on behalf of myself, is wholly my unassisted work and is free of plagiarism from others or support or coaching or guidance from third parties.

I accept that any breach of this undertaking will result in disqualification, the withdrawal of any Shortlist or Finalist status or Award and prize, and may at the Organisers’ complete discretion result in the publication of such disqualification on Car Design News and in other media.

Who is eligible?
CDN-GM-SGMW China Interactive Competition is open to students who are citizens of, and enrolled in a college or university-level design programme (either undergraduate or graduate) in, the People’s Republic of China.

Along with transportation and product design, entries from students studying fashion, textile and other design courses, as well as those studying design engineering and architecture, are encouraged.

Individuals not enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree course at a college or university are not eligible.

To verify that entrants are bona fide students, the name, email address and contact telephone number for the head of department at the student’s college is required.

 Entrants may register only once.

How to register for the competition

To register  click here. Please note registration must be completed in English. You must register before you can submit an entry.

Submitting
Incomplete entries or those which do not comply with the instructions on this website may be disqualified.

In order to allow international judges to assess the entries, all labelling of images and diagrams, and all statements in support of the entry, MUST BE in English.

By entering you are certifying that the work you submit is wholly your own. Plagiarism from a third party, or receiving the support or coaching or guidance of a third party, is strictly forbidden and will result in disqualification. In the case where the judges have included a disqualified entry on the Shortlist, as a Finalist or made an Award, these will be cancelled and withdrawn. The Organisers reserve the right to publicise such cancellation and withdrawal on Car Design News and other media.

Uploading and deadline
Students will upload their entries via the web site throughout the phases of the competition.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, completed projects will only be accepted by this method. All entries must be received by 24:00 Beijing time on the last day of each phase.

Preparing your entry
Entries must meet one of the briefs in order to be considered, and then be submitted to enter in one or more award categories.

Remember, presentation counts – entries that are presented professionally will have a clear advantage: explanatory information should be typewritten, and sketches should be clearly identified and explained. Judging will take into account your explanation and visual presentation of the design process, as well as the design itself.

Following the feedback from the mentors will increase your chances of being selected as a Finalist.
